Healthy Surge in New Lettings at Joseph’s Well

One of Leeds’ most illustrious buildings, Joseph’s Well, is seeing a resurgence in its popularity. The 156,000 sq ft, five-storey property which was once the largest clothing factory in the world has attracted a flurry of new occupants in the last three months. Since May, Carter Towler has let 6 of its office suites totalling 7,000 sq ft for the property’s owner, Leeds-based J Pullan and Sons.

Commenting on the deals, Pullan’s Property Director Bruce Strachan said: “It’s fantastic to see interest in this fabulous building gathering momentum following the challenges of the last two years.

“Joseph’s Well has played a significant role in the prosperity of the city on a number of occasions during its 134 year history and we are extremely proud to be involved, albeit in a small way, in this latest renaissance.”

Four suites have been let to Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust for their new national nursing and midwifery examination centre. The facility will be used by approximately 7,000 nurses, midwives and nursing associates a year.

Two additional suites have been let to Brass Tax Accounting and ProCare Recruitment who have agreed 5 year leases on 668 sq ft suite D4 and 684 sq ft C4 respectively.

Richard Fraser added: “We have worked with Bruce and the team at Pullan and Sons helping to market Joseph’s Well for many years and while it is always rewarding to see new occupiers choosing to locate here, these most recent lettings are especially encouraging.
